  • Important Information
  • Why are some of the paths cut off at the Recreational Reserve?
The recreational reserve will have restricted path access near the Scout Den area from Monday 2nd September to Tuesday 10th September due to the installation and removal of the Laidley Spring Festival Garden Precinct. We understand this may cause some minor disruption to you and hope that any inconvenience will be offset by the offering of this significant event to the region. The Laidley Spring Festival is something that the community can be very proud of.
  • Where is the Information tent located?
The Information tent is located at the Laidley Recreational Reserve along the footpath, directly in front of the stage. The tent will be staffed from 5pm-10pm on Friday night for the Twilight Feast and Fest and from 9am-4pm on Saturday for the main festival event.
  • How much does the festival cost?
All council led elements of the festival are free to attend including the Twilight Feast and Fest! Some community groups ask an entry of $4, whilst others are entry by donation, so you can choose how much you would like to pay.
  • Where do I park for Bee Happy Day on Sunday?
Event parking is along Railway St, Forest Hill and in the Forest Hill Recreation Reserve next to the hall. Palm Avenue will be closed from 7.30am-12.30pm whilst Bee Happy Day is occurring. This is for the safety of young children as the event area is not fenced.
  • Can I park in Laidley?
Parking on Friday will be no issue. There is free on street parking across the town as well as directly outside of event locations. Parking is also available at the Laidley Showgrounds and Laidley Pioneer Village - both are on the shuttle route. On Saturday, parking will be limited due to road closures in place for pedestrian safety and the street parade that occurs through Laidley CBD. We recommend checking the road closure information on our website and Facebook to best prepare for the day. The festival also has shuttle buses that can take you from each location to minimise your requirement to drive and find parking. Check out our shuttle bus page for more information.
  • What if I catch the shuttle and buy a lot of plants from the garden precinct?
On Saturday, there will be an additional bus 9am-3.30pm, that runs from the Garden Precinct to the Thomas St car parking area. The shuttle bus will pick up attendees from the 2min drop off zone, including their product and assist them in delivering this to the car parking area. The driver will help unload the product but will not assist in taking it to the attendee’s car. There will be a marquee shelter near the 2 min drop off zone where attendees can wait to jump into the bus. This bus will only take people from the garden precinct to this car park – if they park anywhere else, they will not be taken there.
  • Friday Road Closures
Whites Road from Patrick St to The Laidley Sports Centre will be closed from 8am-4pm. This affects access to the Orchid Show. However, those with a disability pass will be permitted through to allow access to disabled parking along Whites Road. For all other attendees, we encourage you to park in Michael O’Keefe place, on the corner of Ambrose and William St, and wander over the pedestrian bridge to the Sports Centre. If the road opens earlier than 4pm, we will let people know via social media.
  • Is there a drop off zone?
The 2 min drop off area is for attendees to use to drop off family members and elderly before driving over to the parking areas along Thomas St and Coates St/Edward St. This area will be signed both days and manned by Traffic Control on Saturday. If you are purchasing large quantities of garden product you can also bring your vehicle to this zone for your family members to meet you and load your wares into the car.
  • Where should I park?
We highly recommend where possible visitors park at one of the Park & Ride Shuttle locations. For the Friday Night Twilight Feast & Fest we recommend Ferrari Park, Whites Road.
