What happens if I lose and item?

What measures are in place for lost children?

Staff located at the Information tent at the Festival Precinct will be offering wristbands to parents and guardians of children to put contact details on in case their child becomes lost. Festival staff will also be briefed on lost child policy including how to care for a lost child, how to identify parents or guardians and when to call QLD Police.

Where is the Information tent located?

The Information tent is located at the Laidley Recreational Reserve along the footpath, directly in front of the stage. The tent will be staffed from 5pm-9pm on Friday night for the Twilight Feast and Fest and from 8am-3pm on Saturday for the main festival event.

Question 5

Can I bring my dog to the festival?

Yes, your furry friends are welcome! Laidley Recreational Reserve is dog-friendly—as long as they stay on a leash and you remember to clean up after them. Our outdoor markets love pets too (on-leash, of course). You’ll even find water trays at the Info tent, so swing by, let your pup hydrate, and say hello to the team!

Will the festival have a licenced bar?

Yes, there will be a licenced bar within the Festival Precinct at the Laidley Recreational Reserve.

FRIDAY NIGHT - 5PM - 9PM
SATURDAY - 11AM - 3PM

STRICTLY 18+ | This will be a fenced off area near the stage. No alcohol will be permitted outside this area and security will be monitoring the area and checking IDs.

When can we get a program?

Program booklets will be available around the festival at the Festival Precinct Info tent, Garden Precinct Pavillion at the Laidley Recreational Reserve and at many of the festival expos.  If you're after a program early, make sure to head to our local businesses across the Lockyer Valley to pick one up!

Question 8

Is there a shuttle bus?

Accepted Answer

Park the car and use the festival shuttle buses to hop on and off at the various expos. Friday and Saturday buses depart at 9.30am, stopping at all stops on a regular loop until 2.30pm.

There are 7 stops in total.

Laidley Showgrounds, MacGregor St – Parking

There will be four, 12-seater shuttles running on continuous loop approximately every half hour, depending on traffic.

* Buses are NOT wheelchair accessible. They will accommodate small strollers that can be folded down, but not large prams or wheelchairs.

The shuttles are FREE for all passengers.

How much does the festival cost?

All council led elements of the festival are free to attend including the Twilight Feast and Fest! Some community groups ask an entry of $4, whilst others are entry by donation, so you can choose how much you would like to pay.

Absolutely! We’ll have photographers snapping all the fun throughout the festival. If you spot yourself in a great pic (or take one of your own), don’t forget to tag us @laidleyspringfestival – we love seeing your festival moments!

Where is the Laidley Spring Festival?

If you’re wondering where Laidley is, we’re just over an hour west of Brisbane and a little over forty minutes east of Toowoomba. The festival fun is centred around the beautiful Laidley Recreational Reserve and spills into the charming Laidley town centre. You’ll also find community groups dotted around town – check out their event listings for all the individual locations.

And don’t forget to round out your weekend with Bee Happy Day on Sunday in the delightful village of Forest Hill – just a 10-minute drive from Laidley. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the festival with plenty of kids’ activities, good vibes, and a whole lot of fun!

Is there food available at the festival?

Absolutely! The Laidley Recreational Reserve will be buzzing with a huge variety of food trucks and tasty vendors – from sweet treats to savoury delights, there’s something for every craving (and every age!).

On a budget or just love a homemade picnic? You're more than welcome to pack your own and enjoy it in the sunshine.

Pop into the Quilt & Craft Expo’s Courtyard Café for some seriously delicious homemade goodies. We’re talking fresh sandwiches, seasonal salads, sweet slices, and the ultimate festival favourite—strawberries and ice cream!

Craving something classic? Head over to Das Neumann Haus and enjoy a cosy bite of local charm with their famous Devonshire tea.

And don’t miss Bee Happy Day on Sunday! It’s the perfect way to kickstart your morning with all the essentials – fresh coffee, juices, breakfast bites, and plenty of feel-good vibes for the kids.

Do you have a wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus?

Yes! We have a wheelchair-accessible bus available, which will operate on rotation throughout the event to help guests get around comfortably.

We highly recommend where possible visitors park at one of the Park & Ride Shuttle locations. 
For the Friday Night Twilight Feast & Fest we recommend Ferrari Park, Whites Road. 
(The Shuttle will not be running on Friday Night)

Edward Street provides angled 45-degree parking, with a curb to step up from before reaching a grassed nature strip. From there, a smooth concrete pathway continues all the way into both the Garden Precinct and Festival Precinct. The walk to the Garden Precinct is approximately 150 metres.

While these parking spaces do not meet nationally recognised disability parking standards, they are intended to offer a convenient option for visitors with mobility needs or parents with prams. Please note that these spaces are not monitored and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can I park in Laidley?

On Friday, there’s plenty of free on-street parking around town – even right outside many of the festival hot spots. You can also park at the Laidley Showgrounds, which is right on our convenient shuttle bus route to help you get around with ease.

On Saturday, things get a little busier with road closures in place for pedestrian safety and the spectacular street parade through the Laidley CBD. Parking will be more limited, so be sure to check out the road closure details on our website or Facebook before you make your way in.

Want to skip the parking fuss altogether? Jump on one of our free shuttle buses! They’ll whisk you between all the key festival locations.

What are the road closures?

Friday: 
Patrick Street will be closed between Edward Street and Whites Road from 9am to 9pm. 
 
Whites Road will also be closed during the day so if you're looking for access to the Orchid Show we recommend parking at Michael O’Keefe Place (on the corner of Ambrose & William Streets) and taking a lovely stroll across the pedestrian bridge to the Sports Centre. Shuttle buses are running too, so they will drop you right at the venue. If you carry a disability permit, you’ll be allowed through to use the designated spots outside the Sports Centre. 
 
Whites Road will reopen in time for our Twilight Feast and Fest, ready for you to park the car in Ferrari Park and wander over to the Rec Reserve for an evening of eats and beats.
 
Saturday: 
Patrick Street will be closed between Edward Street and Whites Road from 7am to 4pm. 
 
Up until 9.30am, several roads in Laidley CBD will be closed for on street parking. If you need to visit any local stores, you'll have access to the IGA Car Park only. From 9.30am onwards, strict road closures occur along Patrick Street, Spicer Street, Ambrose Street and William Street for the spectacular Street Parade - all to keep things safe and pedestrian friendly. Expect these roads to reopen by 11.30am. 
 
Whites Road will be closed again on Saturday for the Show 'n' Shine. Those with a disability pass will still be given access to parking in designated spots. Shuttle buses will also be running, stopping all festival locations.

Shuttle buses are running too, so they will drop you right at the venue.

Question 18

Where do I park for Bee Happy Day on Sunday?

Event parking is along Railway St, Forest Hill and in the Forest Hill Recreation Reserve next to the hall. Palm Avenue will be closed from 7.30am-12.30pm whilst Bee Happy Day is occurring. This is for the safety of young children as the event area is not fenced.
