Laidley Cultural Centre

The Laidley Cultural Centre is your first stop after leaving the Warrego Highway and arriving at the festival.

Home to the Spring Orchid Show, the Botanical Café, the Laidley Garden Club and market stalls, entry to the centre is free and the café’s homemade goodies (and bathrooms!) are too good to pass up.

Make your way to the top function room, home of the Botanical Café featuring the beautiful display of Floral Art and delightful feature of “Flora & Fauna” presented by members of the Laidley Garden Club. Set amongst magnificent displays of foliage and plants, there will be lots of plants for sale at the stalls and people from the Garden Club on site to chat with you about all things in the garden. Have a relaxing break at the Botanical Café and enjoy homemade goodies, sandwiches, tea and coffee, lovingly prepared by the Kentville State School P&C. Why not buy some homemade biscuits for a treat on the way home?

Once you are refreshed, don’t miss the Spring Orchid Show in the auditorium for only $3 entry.

The Lockyer Valley Orchid Society will transform the auditorium into a colourful paradise! From the delightful Vandas through to the magnificent Cymbidiums – they will delight and enthral even the most passionate orchid lover. The range of colours on display is like a magic carpet and yes, there will be plants for sale again this year. You will need to be quick though, they tend to sell out early in the festival. Keep watch for the workshops on offer on Thursday and Friday.

Opening hours:

  • Thursday and Friday, 8.30am – 4.00pm

  • Saturday, 8.30am – 2.00pm
