Brand new!The Horticultural Expo, Laidley Cultural Centre

All things gardening, from plants to potting, machinery to mulch, gloves to gutters, water saving ideas to workshops – all stalls and displays are indoors – Botanical Café with homemade goodies straight from our country kitchen to your plate – floral displays – Festival theme, City comes to the Country stage display – free coach and car parking. Opens early at 8am daily.

 
Quilt and Craft Expo, Courtyard Café – Laidley Uniting Church

A stunning display of quilts hung in the church and draping the pews, market stalls, demonstrations, music, vintage vehicles and tractors plus the Courtyard Café, home to country cooking at its best. Browse the church grounds, taste some local produce, chat with a farmer and enjoy the country air.

New venue! Spring Orchid Show, Laidley Sports Centre

You won’t be disappointed by the floral scent and visual

 

Spring Artists’ Exhibition and Spring Gem Show, Laidley Lutheran Church Hall

Get your ‘creative on’ at the Exhibition as you browse the incredible talent in the Lockyer Valley. Artworks using various mediums will be on display and for sale so grab a keepsake. The Gem Show will ‘wow’ you will displays of local rocks, fossils and gems, some very affordable jewellery, handmade by locals often from local rocks.

 

Laidley Lutheran Church, Over 50 floral creations

Don’t miss the amazing floral displays inside the church, showcasing the festival theme. Plus have a chat and a free cuppa and biscuit on the verandah, browse the markets or purchase some sandwiches for a light lunch.

 

Laidley Pioneer Village & Museum – The oldest historical village in Queensland!

Visit the Butchers Shop, Post Office, corner store, mortuary and gaol and of course, the school house complete with a ‘school ma’am’! Self-guided or personal tours on offer.

 

Annie’s Place Coffee Shoppe, Das Neumann Haus

This house museum and coffee shop is free to visit. Listen to the stories of Annie’s life as Mrs Neumann in Laidley’s early days. Purchase from the café’s menu, browse the market stalls and enjoy local musicians, Vintage Gold.

 

Open Days, Laidley Anglican Church

This historic church, where the Foundation Stone was laid on 15 November 1909 is worth a visit. Browse the church, enjoy the floral displays and chat with a local.

 

Under 5’s Day, Laidley & District State School

Thursday 10 September only. This event is specially for the littlies! Hands on activities, games, experiences and learnings, as well as information for parents and carers, networking with other adults and some awesome displays by emergency services.

 

Family Fun Day & Street Parade, Laidley Recreation Reserve

Saturday 12 September only.

A day of celebration with music, local band Rheanna Leschke plus headliners and winners of Tamworth Battle of the Bands - Vixens of Fall, children’s entertainment and workshops including puppetry, garden ornaments and more, lots of markets and of course, the street parade winding its way through Laidley CBD.

 

Show ‘n Shine, Laidley Recreation Reserve

Saturday 12 September only.

 

Classic and vintage cars galore. Register early to secure a spot for your ‘Sunday Ride’. Entry is free, gold coin donations accepted for the Rural Fire Brigade.

 

Laidley Village Shopping Precinct and Friday markets

why not support a regional business and take something home with you from the festival.

The Laidley Village precinct has an eclectic range of businesses for you to visit, many have decorated windows in the festival theme. On Friday morning, market stall holders line the footpath offering plants, books, music, local vegetables and other goodies at bargain prices.

 

Open Gardens Scheme

Although the region has been in drought for quite some time now, despite the little rain that fell early in the year, some locals have put in place water saving processes and nurtured drought resistant plants and will be ready to open their gardens to festival attendees.
